Pulmonary Associates of Richmond, a fully independent, physician- owned, pulmonary, allergy, and sleep medicine practice, is seeking to hire a full-time, partner track, Sleep Physician. A Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine and active Board Certification in Sleep Medicine are required.

This role involves delivering expert clinical evaluations, diagnosing and treating patients with sleep disorders, and interpreting sleep studies. Responsibilities also include managing CPAP therapy, prescribing oral appliances and medication, and utilizing other treatment modalities as necessary. Patient progress is closely monitored to make adjustments to treatment plans when needed. Additionally, educating patients and their families about sleep disorders, available treatment options, and lifestyle modifications to improve sleep quality is a key aspect of the position.

For 50 years, we have been the premier provider of pulmonary outpatient care in central Virginia, with five locations, each offering full PFTs, allergy testing and immunotherapy, and dispensing of biologic therapy. The practice maintains 3 sleep labs with a total of 12 beds and a busy home sleep testing program. We also provide inpatient consultative services at 7 hospitals.

The APC is responsible for providing medical care as delegated by the supervising physician(s) in the fields of Pulmonary and Sleep medicine. This entails the provision of primary care services, including assessing and managing patients in the outpatient setting following established standards and practices. 

Candidates should have at least two years of clinical experience (preferred) and maintain appropriate licensure and certification for their role as a Nurse Practitioner (RN, NP, and NP Board Certification) or Physician Assistant (PA licensure). They must demonstrate strong skills in patient care evaluation, health education, and collaboration, with expertise in pulmonary and sleep medicine, while adhering to safety protocols and professional practice standards.
