    As CMS launches landmark new models - including the ACCESS Model and MAHA ELEVATE - the landscape of patient access to chronic care is undergoing its most significant transformation in a generation. This session will explore how technology-enabled, outcome-aligned care models are expanding access for Medicare beneficiaries, particularly those managing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and musculoskeletal disease. Drawing on direct experience scaling a value-based care organization and leading clinical programs within the CMS innovation ecosystem, the presenter will walk attendees through the practical implications of these new payment structures for health system leaders, physician executives, and care delivery organizations.     Beau Muñoz, MD, Executive Medical Director at Pearl Health

    J. Beau Muñoz, MD is a physician executive and general surgeon with over 25 years of experience spanning military medicine, academic surgery, and health technology. A graduate of Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Muñoz completed surgical training at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and served as a US-UK Exchange Fellow at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University of Birmingham. He is a retired Naval officer who served as Director of Operational Medicine at Naval Special Warfare Command, overseeing clinical operations and medical personnel across the Navy SEAL community.

    Dr. Muñoz transitioned to health technology in 2022 as Executive Medical Director at Pearl Health, an Andreessen Horowitz-backed accountable care startup, where he helped scale the organization 80-fold in two years.  He holds an international patent in artificial intelligence and machine learning and has published in Surgery, The Lancet, and the British Medical Journal, among others. He is a frequent speaker on the transformation of American healthcare from volume to value.
