J. Beau Muñoz, MD is a physician executive and general surgeon with over 25 years of experience spanning military medicine, academic surgery, and health technology. A graduate of Duke University School of Medicine, Dr. Muñoz completed surgical training at Harvard Medical School's Massachusetts General Hospital and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and served as a US-UK Exchange Fellow at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, University of Birmingham. He is a retired Naval officer who served as Director of Operational Medicine at Naval Special Warfare Command, overseeing clinical operations and medical personnel across the Navy SEAL community.

He holds an international patent in artificial intelligence and machine learning and has published in Surgery, The Lancet, and the British Medical Journal, among others.
